WHERE I COME FROM
I was born and raised in Lubbock, a proud product of the Lubbock Independent School District (LISD). My journey began in East Lubbock, where I attended Wheatley Elementary and Alderson Junior High, followed by a year at Estacado and ultimately graduating from Monterey High School in 2001.
As a child, I was inspired by my mother, a dedicated single parent who worked tirelessly to provide for my brother, sister, and me. Today, she continues to reside in East Lubbock, where our family’s roots run deep.
A THRIVING CAREER
My professional journey has been shaped by a diverse range of experiences that have prepared me for leadership in our community. Currently, I serve as a Business Development professional at Tyler Technologies in Lubbock, where I have successfully developed and executed strategic marketing plans for new product launches. My role includes analyzing customer feedback to inform future campaigns, identifying potential partnerships, and creating engaging content to enhance brand awareness.
Prior to this, I was a Mayoral Candidate in Lubbock County, where I honed my leadership skills by managing teams, overseeing fundraising initiatives, and implementing operational changes to drive success. My time as a Sales Coordinator at Doubletree by Hilton allowed me to develop strong customer relationships and conduct market research, which informed our sales strategies and promotional events.
I have also contributed to the United Way of Lubbock as an Observation Board member, ensuring compliance with patient privacy protocols while building rapport with clients. Additionally, I have experience in various roles that emphasize customer service, sales, and project management, including positions at Bodyworks Gym, Guitar Center, and several restaurants.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising from Texas Tech University, which complements my practical experience with a solid academic foundation. I am also proud to have served in the United States Army, where I learned discipline, teamwork, and the importance of service to others.
Through my career, I have developed a robust skill set that includes marketing analytics, project support, content creation, and social media marketing. I am committed to leveraging this experience to foster positive change in our community as your mayor.
